About Karissa
Karissa Bagley was born and raised in Southern Idaho before moving to Las Vegas to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Print Journalism and Broadcast Journalism, along with minors in English and Marketing. During college, she anchored the university news station, served as editor of the school newspaper, and developed a strong passion for leadership, communication, and operations.
After graduation, Karissa worked in the news and public relations industries before joining UNLV’s Public Relations, Marketing, and Recruiting departments. While working at the university, she earned her Master’s Degree in Communications with a focus on Operational Management and later taught business courses in conflict management, corporate communications, marketing, and operations management.
In 2011, Karissa and her husband, Calvin Bagley, founded Nuvo Health. What started as a small family-run business has grown into a nationwide Medicare FMO licensed in all 50 states, supporting hundreds of agents and brokers through PlanFit, The Medicare Store, and Medicare Hub. Together, their teams have helped more than 80,000 people find the right Medicare plan for their needs.
Today, Karissa serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Nuvo Health. In the company’s early years, she personally handled nearly every backend and operational role, helping build departments including Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Contracting, Compliance, and Client Services from the ground up. Today, she oversees these departments alongside an exceptional leadership team and continues to help drive the company’s nationwide growth and success.
Known for her passion for helping people, Karissa is recognized throughout the Medicare industry as a powerhouse leader with a talent for solving problems, building efficient processes, and leading with clear communication and optimism.
Karissa and Calvin have two children, Christian and Victoria, and she proudly says her favorite title is “Mom.” Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her family and has visited all 50 states, all 7 continents, and swam in all 5 oceans.
